What to do if my Nussbaum JUMBO NT 3500 Lifting Systems does not lift or lower?

      Kathy SotoAug 6, 2025
If your Nussbaum Lifting System isn't lifting or lowering, start by checking the power supply, ensuring the main switch is on and functional. Then, inspect the operating elements and the fuse for any defects. Also, check the feed line for cuts. If the motor is overheated, allow it to cool down. If the motor is defective, perform an emergency lowering following the instructions in chapter 6.2.

Why is my Nussbaum JUMBO NT 3500 motor running but not lifting?
    • S
      Shannon HendrixAug 16, 2025
If the motor of your Nussbaum Lifting System runs but the load isn't lifting, first, ensure the vehicle isn't too heavy by unloading it. Then, check the oil level, ensuring it's approximately 2cm under the filler. Verify that the emergency lowering screws N1 & N2 are closed and inspect the hydraulic lines for jams. Also, check the hydraulic system and screw fittings for any leakage. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the hydraulic pump is defective, the coupling between pump and motor is defective, or the cylinder jams.

What to do if Nussbaum Lifting Systems won't lower?

If your Nussbaum Lifting System won't lower, ensure the platform isn't obstructed by anything; if so, raise the lift to remove the obstacle. Check the fuse. Also, make sure the lowering button is pressed and functioning correctly. If these steps don't solve the problem, the hydraulic valve is defective.
