The NuWave PIC® Double is a precision induction cooktop designed for household use, offering efficient and precise cooking with a focus on safety and ease of use. This appliance utilizes electromagnetic fields to directly heat induction-ready cookware, ensuring rapid and controlled cooking.
Function Description:
The NuWave PIC® Double is a dual-burner induction cooktop that provides precise temperature control and various cooking functions. It is designed to heat induction-compatible pots and pans directly, minimizing heat loss and increasing energy efficiency. The unit features two independent cooking surfaces, each with its own control panel and LED display, allowing for simultaneous cooking at different settings. Key functions include:
- Temperature Control: Users can select specific temperatures ranging from 100°F (38°C) to 575°F (302°C) in 5°F increments, or choose from preset temperature functions such as Low, Med Low, Med, Med High, High, and Max/Sear.
- Time Control: Cooking time can be set in hours and minutes, up to a maximum of 99 hours and 60 minutes. The unit automatically stops cooking once the set time expires.
- Warm Function: After cooking, the unit can keep food warm at a default setting of 120°F (49°C) for up to 100 hours.
- Stage Cook Function: This advanced feature allows users to program up to 10 consecutive cooking stages, each with its own temperature and time settings, for complex recipes.
- Program Function (Recipe Storage): The cooktop comes with 50 pre-programmed recipes and allows users to store up to 150 of their own custom recipes (slots 51-200). This includes saving multi-stage cooking programs for future use.
- End Time Function: Users can set a specific end time for cooking, allowing for delayed starts or ensuring a meal is ready at a precise moment, up to 24 hours in advance.
- Wattage Control: The unit operates at a default of 1800 watts when using one plate. When both plates are in use, the unit automatically switches to 900 watts per plate. Users can manually switch between 900W and 1800W when using a single plate.
- Fahrenheit/Celsius Conversion: The display can be toggled between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Lock Function: A safety lock feature prevents accidental changes to settings during operation.
