Installation and connection
NOTE
If the pump is used for conveying excessively soiled water, the impeller unit will be
subject to increased wear and will require earlier replacement.
Thoroughly clean the pond or pool before installing the pump.
Install the pump approx. 200 mm above the ground of the pond. This prevents it
from drawing in muddy water.
Installing the switching power pack

• Ensure that the power cables and mains sockets are at least 2 m from the water.
• Install the switching power pack at least 2 m from the pond.
• Ensure that the switching power pack and the plug connection of the connection
line are not in the water.
• Protect the switching power pack from direct sunlight.
• Adhere to the maximum permissible ambient temperature. If necessary, provide
forced cooling. (→ Technical data)
Submerged installation of the pump

• Place the pump horizontally on a stable, mud-free surface. Ensure secure and sta-
ble positioning of the pump.
• Only operate the pump with a filter cage.
• You can use the 50 mm or 38 mm hose connector on the pressure side (outlet).
• Pool water or salt water can impair the appearance of the unit. Such impairments
are excluded from the guarantee.
