General safety advice and warnings for working with Öhlins products.
Thread and tighten the top cap to the cylinder tube using a torque wrench.
Remove old o-rings and back-up rings from the piston.
Clean shaft threads and apply Loctite 577 before tightening components.
Tighten base cap and seal head onto the shaft with torque specifications.
Lubricate and tighten base cap into the cylinder tube.
Lubricate and tighten piston into the cylinder tube with torque.
Slide seal head onto cylinder tube and tighten with torque.
Apply Loctite to top cap threads if needed, then reinstall.
Tighten top cap, refit lower valve nut, and inflate air chambers.
Apply Loctite to DH38 top cap threads if needed, then reinstall.
Tighten top cap, base cap nut, and reinstall knobs/caps for DH38.
