Maintenance
It is recommended to periodically check the drive unit to
check the integrity of the components and the firmware.
Before installing lights on the e-bike, check that they are
compatible and ha
ve the same voltage as the drive unit.
Respect the operating and storage temperatures of the
drive unit.
It is important to protect the unit from temperatures
outside the recommended temperature ranges, such as
heat sources and unventilated environments with strong
solar radiation.
For assistance or repairs, contact an authorized dealer.
Demolition and disposal
HMI unit, display, keypad, various accessories, and packaging
must be disposed of in accordance with environmental
regulations existing. Do not throw the various components
into household waste bins.
Do not throw this product into the fire.
FOR UE COUNTRIES ONLY:
in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU electrical
appliances that have become unusable and, according to
European Directive 2006/66/EC, Rechargeable batteries/
defective or worn batteries must be collected separately
and sent for environmentally friendly reuse.
Return the non-functioning HMI unit to an authorized e-bike
dealership.
F.A.Q.
I see an error code on the screen. What should I do now?
• The error code shows that something happened
irregular. We recommend that you contact your
dealer at brief. The bicycle will not be damaged if
you use it keep using.
How to sto
re the e-bike?
• Store in a cool, covered place with a stable
temperature between about 10° and 20°C.
• No direct exposure to sunlight or rain.
•
Charge the battery to
approximately 70% before storing.
Every six months, charge the battery to
approx.70%.
• Before using the battery again, charge it fully.
Is the OLI-e-bike Systems waterproof?
• Yes, the OLI system is waterproof for use in
normal driving conditions, including heavy rain.
Please not to use a high pressure jet to clean the
bicycle or immerse the motor in water.
How much power do OLI electrical systems have?
• All our systems are in compliance with the law
European, therefore have a nominal 250W.
Cleaning
Cleaning operations do not require dedicated products
or tools. None of the components, including the drive unit,
should be immersed in water or cleaned with a high pressure
jet. To clean the motor and the HMI unit, use only a cloth
moistened with water.
CAUTION: Do not use aggressive products. Never
use abrasive products or powders or basic or acid
chemical detergents.
IMPORTANT: The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for damage caused by incorrect cleaning
or deriving from the use of unsuitable products.
Use and Autonomy
The drive unit is designed to be used exclusively in the
e-bike on which it is applied.
For correct use, always refer to the e-bike manufacturer’s
user manual.
It is not possible to predict the exact mileage that can be
reached with one battery charge as there are several factors
that affect range, the main ones being:
assistance level, speed, pedaling Cadence, tire type and
pressure, age and maintenance status of the battery,
difference in altitude and characteristics of the road surface,
presence of headwind, climate, weight of e-bike, weight of
cyclist
It is therefore recommended:
• Act on the gearbox to use the best gear in relation to the
route, in such a way as to apply the least possible force on
the pedals and therefore increase the distance covered.
• Where possible, use a lower level of assistance to increase
system autonomy.

General information
There are two different configurations of the Edge unit,
identifiable by the BH or SH code shown on the manufacturer’s
plate.
The BH and SH models have the same mechanical and
electromagnetic characteristics, differing only in the position
of the supports to the e-bike frame.
