This document is an owner's manual for the OLMO EDGE INVERTER SERIES Air Conditioner. It covers various aspects of the device, including safety precautions, identification of parts, display introduction, remote controller operation, maintenance, protection features, and troubleshooting.
Function Description
The OLMO EDGE INVERTER SERIES Air Conditioner is designed to provide cooling, heating, and dehumidification (dry mode) for indoor spaces. It utilizes inverter technology for efficient operation and offers various modes to suit different user preferences and environmental conditions. The air conditioner can be controlled via a remote controller, allowing users to adjust temperature, fan speed, operation mode, and other settings. It also includes features like a timer for scheduled operation, a sleep mode for enhanced comfort during rest, and an 8° HEAT mode for maintaining a low heating temperature.
Important Technical Specifications
The manual lists several models: OSH-09FRH, OSH-12FRH, OSH-18FRH, and OSH-24FRH, indicating a range of capacities.
- Refrigerant: The unit may use R32/R290 flammable refrigerants, requiring specific safety precautions during handling and disposal.
- Operating Temperature Range:
- Cooling (DB/WB): Indoor: max 32°C/23°C, min 21°C/15°C. Outdoor: max 43°C/26°C, min -15°C/-16°C.
- Heating (DB/WB): Indoor: max 27°C/18°C, min 20°C/15°C. Outdoor: max 24°C/18°C, min -15°C/-16°C.
- Drying (DB/WB): Indoor: max 32°C/23°C, min 18°C. Outdoor: max 43°C/26°C, min 21°C.
- For Tropical (T3) Climate models, the outdoor maximum temperature point for cooling is 55°C instead of 43°C.
- Power Supply: The remote controller uses 2 LR03 AAA (1.5volt) batteries.
- Remote Control Range: The remote controller operates at a distance of up to 7m when pointed at the signal receptor of the indoor unit.
Usage Features
- Operation Modes:
- COOLING: Provides cooling to the room.
- HEATING: Provides heating to the room (not available for cooling-only models).
- DRY: Dehumidifies the air.
- FAN ONLY: Circulates air without cooling or heating.
- SMART Mode: Automatically sets temperature and fan speed based on the actual room temperature using fuzzy logic. This mode is ineffective in SUPER mode and ECONOMY mode.
- SUPER Mode: Initiates fast cooling (high fan speed, 16°C/61°F set temp) or fast heating (auto fan speed, 30°C/86°F set temp). The appliance continues in SUPER mode for 15 minutes unless manually exited.
- 8° HEAT Mode: Maintains an 8°C (46°F) heating temperature, with fan speed set to AUTO. This mode is only available in heating mode.
- QUIET Mode: Operates with low compressor frequency and low fan speed for reduced noise. Only available for inverter models.
- ECONOMY Mode: Provides energy-saving performance by lowering running current. Ineffective in SMART and SUPER modes.
- Temperature Adjustment: Users can adjust the set temperature within a range of 16°C to 30°C (61°F to 86°F) for heating and cooling. For DRY mode, a decrease or rise of up to 7°C can be set.
- Fan Speed Control: Allows selection of fan speeds: Auto, Higher, High, Medium, Low, and Lower. Auto fan speed is not available in FAN ONLY mode, and fan speed is automatically set to AUTO in DRY mode.
- Airflow Direction Control:
- Vertical Airflow: Automatically adjusted based on the operation mode (horizontal for cooling/dry, downward for heating/fan only). Can be manually adjusted to swing up/down or set to a specific angle using the remote controller. Manual adjustment of louvers is not recommended.
- Horizontal Airflow: Can be adjusted to swing left/right or set to a specific angle using the remote controller.
- Timer Function:
- TIMER ON: Allows scheduling the appliance to turn on at a desired time.
- TIMER OFF: Allows scheduling the appliance to turn off at a desired time.
- CLOCK Button: Used to set the real time on the remote controller.
- IFEEL Mode: Activates a temperature sensor in the remote controller to sense surrounding temperature and transmit it to the unit, allowing for more precise temperature adjustment for maximum comfort.
- DIMMER Button: Turns off the display lights on the indoor unit.
- Sleep Mode: Provides a comfortable sleeping environment by automatically adjusting temperature and fan speed. The appliance stops after 8 hours. There are four different sleep modes with varying temperature adjustment curves.
- Preheat (Heating Mode): Airflow from the indoor unit is discharged 2-5 minutes after the start of heating operation.
- Defrost (Heating Mode): The appliance automatically defrosts (de-ices) to raise efficiency, typically lasting 2-10 minutes, during which fans stop. After defrosting, it returns to heating mode.
Maintenance Features
- Front Panel Maintenance:
- Cut off power supply.
- Remove the front panel by grasping position "a" and pulling outward.
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Use a soft, moist cloth for very dirty panels.
- Do not use volatile substances (gasoline, polishing powder) or sprinkle water on the indoor unit.
- Reinstall the front panel by pressing position "b" downward.
- Air Filter Maintenance:
- Stop the appliance, cut off power, and remove the air filter.
- Open the front panel.
- Press the handle of the filter gently from the front.
- Grasp the handle and slide out the filter.
- Clean the air filter: If dirty, wash with detergent in lukewarm water, then dry in shade.
- Reinstall the air filter.
- Close the front panel.
- Cleaning Frequency: Clean the air filter every two weeks in dusty environments, or after about 100 hours of use.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues like the unit not running, no cooling/heating air, ineffective control, peculiar odor, cracking sound, and spray mist from the outlet. It also explains "Mode interfere" when multiple indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit.
Safety Precautions
