Why doesn't the 'Removable Disk' icon appear after installing and connecting my Olympus Comedia MAUSB-10, and '!' or '?' shows in Device Manager?

  This issue may occur because the USB connector isn't properly connected, the Olympus Card Reader settings are invalid, or the USB port is disabled either in your computer's settings or in the BIOS settings. Try fully inserting the USB connector. If that doesn't work, adjust the card reader or USB port settings by going to [Start] — [Settings] — [Control Panel] — [System] — [Hardware] — [Device Manager]. Also, check your computer's instruction manual to ensure the USB port is enabled in the BIOS settings.

Why is the status lamp (green) not lighting up on my Olympus Comedia MAUSB-10 Card Reader?

  The green status lamp may not light up because the card(s) is not inserted correctly, the card cover is not closed properly, the power supply from the USB port is insufficient, or the card(s) is damaged. Ensure the card(s) is correctly inserted and the card cover is properly closed. If using a USB hub, connect the Olympus Card Reader directly to the computer, as the hub may not function correctly. If the issue persists, the card(s) might be damaged, and you should replace it with a new one.

To resolve this, check the USB port settings by going to [Start] — [Settings] — [Control Panel] — [System] — [Hardware] — [Device Manager] and cancel the [!] mark to enable the USB port. Also, refer to your computer's instruction manual to set the USB port to “Enable” in the BIOS settings.

  If the “Found New Hardware Wizard” window appears when you connect the Olympus Card Reader, it means you've connected it before installing the device driver. To fix this, click “Cancel” to close the window, disconnect the card reader from the PC, and then install the device driver.

  If “?” appears in Device Manager after using the “Found New Hardware Wizard”, the Olympus Card Reader driver was not installed correctly. Delete [? USB Media Adapter], disconnect the card reader, and reinstall the driver.
