BREATHIG MIX OXIGEN PERCENTAGE CHECKING
Connect an oxygen analyzer (not supplied with the rebreather) to the tank and check that the gas mix comply with the required
percentages (Fig. 3).
DANGERDANGER
It is strictly necessaryl to personally check the gas mix, as this determines both the correct setting of the
continuous flow rate and the maximum permitted depth.
BREATHING MIX CONTINUOUS FLOW RATE CHECKING
To check the breathing mix continuous flow rate, proceed as follows:
a) disconnect the hose which carries the continuous and manual bypass flows (yellow color) from the flow regulator group.(Fig. 4);
b) join the flowmeter connector hose to the flow regulator unit (Fig. 5);
c) open the lower tank sut-off valve to let the continuous gas flow run;
d) allow the continuous flow rate a few seconds to stabilize, then check the rate measured on the flowmeter to be settled exactly just
on the index mark setting. Matching of index mark, gas breathing mix kind and flow rate is shown in the table below (Fig 6 & 7):
e) should the flow rate be adjusted proced as follows:
- manually unscrew and remove the knurled cap from the side part of the flow regulator goup (Fig. 8);
- slowly turn the adjusting screw in a clockwise direction to increase the flow rate;
- slowly turn the adjusting screw in a counter-clockwise direction to reduce the flow rate (Fig. 9);
- once got the desired rate value, check the flowmeter and verify the mix flow to remain stable for just one minute.
Index Breathing mix Flow rate in liters perminute

2 40% O / 60% N 9.6

DANGERDANGER
Carefully check that the breathing mix matches the continuous flow rate, as a lower or higher flow rate may
cause serious or even fatal accidents to the diver.
