USING THE REBREATHER
After having checked the correct operation of the various rebreather components, proceed to don the unit and begin the dive as follows:
1) position the rebreather in the vertical position, resting it on its special stand, and then adjust all the harness straps to their
maximum length (Fig. 28);
2) put on the rebreather by getting your arms through the shoulder straps;
3) adjust the shoulder straps to the desired length, using the "D" rings at the front (Fig. 29);
4) fasten the buckle of the cummerbund;
5) fasten the buckle of the chest strap;
6) fasten the leg straps (Fig. 30);
7) proceed to correctly adjust the straps so that the rebreather shell adheres close to the body without hampering your movements
(Fig. 31);
8) place the four-way valve lever in the closed (down) position (Fig. 32);
CAUTIONCAUTION
Proceed with these final steps only if you are ready to go into the water.
9) make sure the continuous flow regulator group cam is in the closed position (Fig. 33);
10) slowly turn the upper tank’s shut-off valve to the fully open position.
11) slowly turn the lower tank’s shut-off valve to the fully open position (Fig. 34);
CAUTIONCAUTION
When the lower tank’s shut-off valve is opened, the continuous flow regulator starts to deliver the breathing mix
into the inhalation counterlung. At this point delaying the dive would result in a waste of breathing mix. If such
a thing should accur, better to close the lower tank’s shut-off valve untill the beginning of the dive.
12) check the emergency regulator operation by inhaling and exhaling through its mouthpiece (Fig. 35);
13) check the BC inflator and deflator controls operation (Fig. 36);
14) check that the pressure gauges are properly working and both read the tanks to be duly filled up (Fig. 37);
15) place the mouthpiece in your mouth;
16) fully exhale through the mouthpiece in order to expel the air contained in your lungs while the four way valve is in the closed
position (lever down);
