the wireless radio signal, at which time the Pod will show a blinking green light (indicating
proper functioning of the Pod).
Channel Setting: In a multi-Omni setup, set different radio channels for each Omni (see guide).
Forward Only Mode: To accommodate bigger users, use the “Forward Only” functionality in the
Advanced menu (see guide).
Omni Controller Modes: Always leave your Omnis in Gamepad Mode to ensure they work with
Virtuix games (Keyboard mode is intended for home users who want to experiment with legacy
games).
2.3. Omni Game Setup
Navigation Modes: Get familiar and experiment with Coupled (walking direction is fixed to
looking direction), De-Coupled (walking direction is independent from looking direction),
and Soft-Coupled (combination of coupled and de-coupled) modes in our various games.
Coupled Mode: Select and recommend the Coupled navigation mode for novice players,
as this results in the easiest gameplay experience.
Calibration: For De-coupled and Soft-coupled modes (advanced players only), players need to
properly calibrate following the calibration procedures in our various Virtuix games. Ensure the
player is standing still and facing forward while calibrating. Improper calibration will result in a
bad player experience and even motion sickness.
Omni Arena Tutorials: Always place new players in the Tutorial levels first in Omni Arena (Core
Defense and Hard Point).
Omni Arena Multiplayer: For multiplayer gameplay:
Connect all PCs via a Local Area Network (LAN); see instructions in Section 1.1.
Designate one PC as the “host” of the multiplayer session by choosing “Create Match” in
the game’s main menu.
On all other PCs, select “Find Match” to find the host’s game, then double click on the
match name to join the game.
When a single customer wants to play Omni Arena, try to match him with a second
player for a multiplayer session or have a staff member act as second player on a second
Omni (multiplayer gameplay is more exciting and fun than single-player gameplay)
TRAVR: Training Ops: Use the leaderboards in Training Ops to organize leagues and
tournaments. You can give leaderboards a custom name suitable to your location or event.
