SMARTSTEP2 – ABSOLUTE POSITIONING WITH ‘PLS2’

‘Absolute’ means that the motor
will move the specified distance,
clockwise or counter-clockwise,
with respect to its origin position
(as a number of pulses from the
origin).
If no ‘ORG’ has been performed,
or the power to the system has
been interrupted since the last
‘ORG’, absolute positioning cannot
be performed.
The use of the instruction is
identical to relative positioning,
apart from the setting of one ‘bit’.
