Why is there black smoke coming from my Optima DM(DMF) Kitchen Appliances exhaust/flue?

  If you observe black smoke emitting from the exhaust or flue of your Optima Kitchen Appliance, it's likely due to insufficient oxygen. This can be caused by a closed blower fan damper or excessive soot buildup in the combustion chamber. To resolve this, increase the air intake on the blower fan by opening the damper, and clean the steam vessel using a vacuum cleaner after loosening the band at the bottom of the cylinders and removing the inner and outer cylinders.

Also, check the electrodes, fuel nozzle, and blower fan, adjusting or replacing them if needed. Ensure the flame sensor packing is sealed and replace the 8.5 bar (123.2 psi) pressure switch if necessary.

  If the low water probe sensor in your Optima Kitchen Appliance cannot detect water in the steam vessel, it could be defective, its connection cable may be disconnected, or scale build-up is preventing detection. Check the low probe sensor and replace it if necessary. Inspect the connection cable. Clean the low probe sensor with sandpaper and reinstall it.

  If the water pump, water feed line, or water tank of your Optima Kitchen Appliance becomes hot, it may be because water or steam in the vessel traveled backward into the water tank due to damaged non-return valves, or steam is continuously coming out from the air purge valve into the water tank. Clean or replace the non-return valves. Detach the air purge from the pipeline and clean it, or check/replace the thermistor.

Thaw the machine at room temperature and inspect it for additional damage, replacing any damaged parts. If the safety valve bursts at below 8.5 bar (123.2 psi), replace the safety valve.
