The Optimus 2.0 Bundle is a GPS tracker designed for a variety of scenarios, including vehicles, assets, and people. It provides real-time tracking, location reporting, and various alert features.
The primary function of the Optimus 2.0 Bundle is to provide accurate GPS tracking. Once activated and powered on, the device acquires a GPS signal and transmits its location data, which can be viewed on a map via a dedicated website or app. It's designed to be versatile, suitable for monitoring the location of cars, luggage, backpacks, and other assets. The tracker can be placed inside vehicles, carried in bags, or attached to the underside of cars using an optional magnetic case.
To activate the tracker, users must visit the OptimusTracker.com website, click the "Activate Tracker" link, and fill out a form with the device's 15-digit IMEI number (found on the tracker's labels). After subscribing, an activation email is sent, and users are advised to check their spam/junk folders. Activation must be completed before installation.
For optimal performance, the device should be taken outside after activation to acquire a GPS signal. It typically takes a few minutes for the tracker to appear on the map. The device receives GPS signals from the sky, which can penetrate plastics, fabrics, and even car seats or the underside of a car. However, signals may be obstructed if the tracker is completely enclosed in metal or inside a building, potentially leading to "drift" in map position.
The tracker comes preset to report its location every 60 seconds, offering a battery life of up to one month at this setting. Users can adjust the report frequency to optimize battery life or receive more frequent updates:
