It is intended for use in various indoor environments such as bedrooms, living spaces, offices, and classrooms. The air purifier operates on a 120V 60Hz power supply and is equipped with several features to ensure effective air purification and user convenience.

Function Description

The primary function of the Oransi Finn Air Purifier is to clean the air through a multi-stage filtration process, which includes a pre-filter, a Cleanable HEPA filter, and a UV-C germicidal lamp. Air is drawn into the unit from the bottom and exits through the top, ensuring efficient circulation within a room.

The pre-filter is designed to capture larger particles like lint and dirt, extending the life of the subsequent filters. The Cleanable HEPA filter is crucial for trapping fine air particles, including allergens, dust, and pet dander. • Fan Speed Control: The Fan Speed Button allows users to adjust the airflow. Pressing this button cycles through High, Medium, and Low fan speeds. This flexibility enables users to choose a setting that balances purification needs with noise levels, with lower settings being less audible. For larger areas or when the user is absent, a higher fan speed can be used, which can then be lowered upon return.
• Ionizer Function: The Ionizer Button activates the negative ion/ion function. An "Ion" icon illuminates on the LCD display when the ionizer is active. Pressing the button again deactivates this function.
• UV Lamp Function: The UV Light Button controls the UV-C germicidal lamp. This lamp operates independently of the fan speed and can be turned on or off as needed. An "UV" icon on the LCD display indicates when the UV lamp is active.
• LCD Display: The LCD display provides visual feedback on the unit's status, including the active ionizer and UV lamp functions. It also indicates when the UV lamp or HEPA filter needs attention through flickering icons.
• Placement: The air purifier should be placed on a firm, level, and flat surface, at least one foot (0.3 meters) away from any walls or furniture to ensure proper airflow. It is important to ensure that no grilles are blocked to maintain optimal performance. The unit's design allows it to be placed anywhere in a room, as air enters from the bottom and exits from the top.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the Oransi Finn Air Purifier continues to perform effectively. The device is designed with user-friendly maintenance in mind, primarily focusing on filter and UV lamp replacement and cleaning.

• Filter Access: The rear cover of the unit can be easily removed by pressing the Lock & Release Button, providing access to the pre-filter, HEPA filter, and UV lamp.
• Pre-Filter Cleaning: The pre-filter should be checked and cleaned every 2-3 months, or more frequently depending on environmental conditions. To clean, remove the pre-filter from the rear cover and use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove lint and dirt. A clean, damp, soft cloth can be used for a final wipe. After cleaning, the pre-filter is reattached to the rear cover, and the rear cover is securely latched back onto the unit.
• HEPA Filter Cleaning/Replacement: The Cleanable HEPA filter also requires regular attention. It should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner's brush attachment, similar to the pre-filter. It is crucial not to use water or any household cleaner on the HEPA filter. The HEPA filter can be used continuously for up to two years. Its condition can be monitored by observing its color; if it turns from white to dark grey, it should be replaced. If it remains white, replacement is not necessary.
• HEPA Reset Function: After cleaning or replacing the HEPA filter, the HEPA Reset icon on the LCD display, which illuminates and flickers when maintenance is needed, must be reset. This is done by pressing the HEPA Reset Button with a pin or paperclip for a few seconds until the icon stops flickering.
• UV Lamp Replacement: The UV lamp has a lifespan, and when it needs replacement, the UV icon on the LCD will illuminate and flicker. To replace, first turn off and unplug the unit, then remove the rear cover and HEPA filter. Use a screwdriver to detach the UV lamp cover. Grasp the UV lamp and pull it straight out from its socket. A new UV lamp is then inserted by pressing it into the lamp socket. The UV lamp cover, filter, and rear cover are then reinstalled. The UV lamp is a glass product and should be handled carefully. The metal cover over the lamp must be in place for the air purifier to operate.
• UV Lamp Reset Function: After replacing the UV lamp, the UV icon on the LCD needs to be reset by pressing the UV Button for a few seconds until the flickering stops. The UV View Window allows users to check if the new UV lamp is lighting up.
• External Cleaning: The external surface of the unit can be wiped with a clean, dry, soft cloth. It is important to avoid sticking foreign objects or fingers inside the unit and to never use chemical or harsh cleaners, alcohol, or solvents, as these can damage the product.
• Safety Features: The air purifier includes safety features that will shut off the unit unexpectedly to prevent damage or injury if issues arise. These include ensuring the UV lamp and cover, HEPA filter, and rear cover are firmly seated and latched. A safety switch located under the HEPA filter in the base of the housing can be pressed to restart the unit if it fails to power on after filter replacement.
