EN
Excessive or inappropriate use of hearing protection can cause hypersensitivity. When using hearing
protection during road trac, it should be noted that the ability to drive must be preserved.
2 CLEANING
Clean/disinfect the helmet, harness and sweatband regularly with soap and lukewarm water.
Do not clean with solvent-based or aggressive substances.
The sweatband and hygiene set must be replaced at regular intervals.
3. AVOID DAMAGE
Ensure the head protection and its components do not come into contact with pointed or sharp objects (saw
chain, metal tools…), aggressive substances such as animal excrements, acids, oil, solvents… since the
material may otherwise be damaged.
The helmet may be impaired by UV radiation and certain chemical substances.
Do not apply adhesive strips, paint, solvents, adhesives or self-adhesive labels to the shell since they may
impair the degree of protection oered.
Also avoid contact with hot objects and other sources of heat( open re, stoves…).
4. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Do not store the helmet in strong sunlight or high temperatures, for example behind a windscreen or win
-
dow. It is best stored in a dark, cool location to prevent premature aging.
The product is packed for protection during transportation.
5. SERVICE LIFE
A general rule is that a helmet that is older than 5 years from the date of manufacture should not be used.
The recommended usage duration in a normal environment is about 3000 hours(mark the rst date of use
on the helmet). In certain extreme environments, this usable period may be shorter.
Production date marking located under helmet bill (Month/Year).
6. REPAIR IMPOSSIBLE
The helmet is designed to absorb impacts. However, a severe impact can damage or even destroy the helmet
shell or its harness , resulting in a lower level of protection in the future. Even if such damage is not visible to
the naked eye , any helmet involved in a severe impact should be replaced.
7. CRITERIA FOR REPLACEMENT
Examine the head protection and its components at regular intervals for signs of damage
(cracks, discoloration…). It must be replaced after being subjected to high loads even if there is no vis
-
ible damage.
The ear defenders and ear cushions in particular can be damaged during normal usage and must be checked
regularly for leaks or cracks. Any modication of the product may have a negative inuence on its protective
function. For this reason do not attempt to modify the product in any way.
8. OVERALL WEIGHT 780g
9. HEARING PROTECTION
The ear defenders comply with the requirements of DIN EN352-3.
Optimum protection is aorded only if the ear defenders are worn for the entire period of exposure to noise.
Warning ! Even short periods of non-use can lead to seriously impaired hearing.Regular hearing tests are
recommended for those exposed to noise for long periods. No hearing protection can provide total pro
-
tection against hearing damage. The level of protection aorded depends on dierent factors (such as the
intensity and frequency of noise source). Ear defenders and especially the ear cushions may wear with use
and should therefore be examined often for signs of cracks and leaks, for example. Covering the ear cushions
with hygienic coatings may aect the acoustic performance of the ear defenders.
