WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
The string trimmer requires some assembly before
use. These items ship with the string trimmer:
• String trimmer attachment
• Guard with attachment screws
• Attachment tab
• Original Instruction Manual
• Torx wrench
• Blocking pin
After removing the string trimmer from the box,
inspect it carefully to ensure no damage has
occurred during shipping and that no parts are
missing. If any parts are damaged or missing,
do not use the string trimmer. Contact Oregon®
Cordless Tool System at + to
obtain replacement parts or contact your local
dealer.
Assembly
WARNING: A battery operated tool
with the battery pack inserted can start
accidentally. Remove the battery pack before
assembling or performing maintenance.
ATTACHING THE GUARD (FIG. A)
WARNING: The line cut-off blade on the
grass deflector is sharp. Avoid contact with
the blade. Failure to avoid contact can result
in serious personal injury.
• Remove the battery pack.
• Remove the screws () from the guard ().
• Insert the attachment tab () on the mounting
bracket in the slot on the guard.
• Tighten the screws securely.
