Before any maintenance or adjustments are being made to the machine, we recommend you to make a con-
ference call to your local dealer or Orkel Compacon AS. All repairing work or maintenance should be carried
out by skilled mechanics.

The machine must be stopped before any repair work or maintenance is carried out.
The hydraulic safety valves on the tailgate’s liing cylinders (both sides), must be closed before any person
could enter the chamber.( Se chapter 5.1)
Cauon during cleaning of belts and rollers, must be taken to avoid crushing or squeezing of body parts.
Be aware of the large side covers during repair work in windy condions. Secure the covers in open posion,
to avoid personal injury.
Use proper work wear and shoes to avoid injuries from falling.

Check that all tools is stowed away and all covers is mounted correctly and in place.
Orkel Compacon recommend that all repair and maintenance work on the machine is done in day-
light condions. Repair work on the machine in dark condions is on owner’s risk.
 

This machine must under no circumstances be used for any other purpose than the intended one.
If the operator have to leave the site, the tractor or any other power supply must be turned o. Remove key
to avoid unaended start. Do not use loose or baggy clothing, due to many rotang parts in the machine.

- be extra observant during mounng new plasc foil under the knife.
- be extra focused on all danger zones during operaon.
- be cauous, entering the machine to avoid falling.
- check all danger-zones before start-up, to avoid danger situaons.
- pay aenon to potenal danger, caused by the machines automac systems.
- Carry out a test on emergency-stop switches, and sensors on a regular base, to ensure they are in good
working order.
- Set the machine in “manual”  any work is done in the HiT unit. (net binding) due to danger of geng
ngers or hand cut.
- pay aenon to re hazard from overheang in bearings or pressing of very dry materials.
- Know the localizaon of the re exnguisher. Keep close!
- Pay aenon to danger of unauthorised personnel entering the machine’s stairway. (danger of falling into
hopper/feeder. The stairway is for authorized personnel only.
