When roasting poultry:
• Ifabrownerskinisdesired,starttheroastingcyclewiththebreastsidedownforthe
first 30 minutes; turn breast side up.
• Brushtheskinwithmeltedbutterandseasongenerouslywithamixtureofdryherbs
and spices, such as rosemary, thyme, paprika, garlic and lemon seasoning.
• Ifnotusingstuffing,fillthecavityinthechickenorgamehenswithquarteredonion,
2 to 3 cloves of garlic and several hearts of celery stalks.
• Quarteredlemonsandorangeswitha2.5cmpieceoffreshgingercanbeusedfor
a light citrus, ginger flavoring.
BAKE FUNCTION
1. If using the rack, place in inner pot.
2. Press Power
Button.
3. Press Bake “Hornear” Button.
4. Cover with glass lid.
5. LCD displays 175°C and 1 hour.
6. To change, press Up
and Down Buttons on Time “Tiempo” and Temperature
“Temp”.
7. Press Start/Stop “Iniciar/Parar” Button to begin.
8. Preheating will flash on LCD until appliance is fully heated- then will disappear and the
time will start counting down. There will be an audible signal.
9. Carefully lift lid away from you and add ingredients to be baked using potholders and
spatulas.
10. At end of selected time, there is an audible signal and the LCD will flash.
11. The Start/Stop “Iniciar/Parar” Button light is off.
12. Press Power
Button to turn off appliance.
WARNING: Do not touch the metal housing of the appliance with unprotected
hands while in use or until it has cooled completely.
Baking Tips:
• Becausetheinnerpotisdark,wesuggestthatwhenbakingfooddirectlyintheinner
pot to lower the suggested temperature by 15°C.
• Thelargestbakingpanthatfitscomfortablyintheinnerpotis19cm.
• Bakingwithatriplelayerofpapertowelsjustunderthelidhelpstoabsorbexcess
moisture.
• Whenusingpastainarecipetobebakedinthe5-in-1CookingSystem,cookthe
pasta for half the suggested cooking time on the pasta package.
• Whenusingliqueursinbakedgoods,thealcoholcooksaway,leavingonlythe
delicious flavor.
