SELF-CLEANING
When the descaling light

is on, it indicates that the appliance needs to undergo self-
cleaning. The appliance will remain in the best condition if this function is performed at
least once a month or more regularly depending on the hardness of water used. It is also
suggested to:
1. Fill the water tank to “MAX” level.
2. If possible add a package of powdered descaler or some other liquid to descale the
water tank. Ask Oster Authorized Service Centers for recommendations or questions.
IMPORTANT: Do not use vinegar or another cleaning agent to clean this appliance. This
could damage the coffeemaker and affect its performance.
3. Plug in the appliance.
4. Place a large enough container under the coffee spout.
5. In standby condition, press and hold ON/OFF button

will continue the self-cleaning. There will be a pause. Please be patient and let the
espresso maker complete the process without interrupting.
9. When the self-cleaning process is completed, the appliance will turn off automatically.

the one described in the cleaning section should be performed by an Authorized Service
Representative only. See warranty card for contacting an authorized Oster

center.
EMPTY SYSTEM FUNCTION
The empty system function is recommended to use before a long period of non-use, frost
protection and before talking to a repair agent.
1. While on standby, press and hold the ON/OFF button

3. Remove the water tank from the appliance. The empty system light

4. When the empty system function is completed, the appliance will turn off
automatically.
Important: After performing the Empty System Function, press the hot water button
