  If this is a new installation, check the door arm position. You should also check if the limits are properly set and ensure the Safe-T-Beam® red LED is not flashing. Inspect the Safe-T-Beam® system for any beam obstruction or misalignment. Also, check the garage door for any binding. If the opener will not close, you can force it to close by pressing and holding the wall console button until the door is completely closed. Finally, check for interference from adjacent Safe-T-Beam® units.

  First, check the power source by plugging a lamp into the outlet used for the powerhead. If the lamp works, the power source is OK; if not, check the fuse or circuit breaker. Next, check the connections at the powerhead terminals and at the wall console. Ensure the limits are set with the door arm connected to the door. Also, check if the wall console Sure-Lock™ is ON; turn it OFF and check the operation. Finally, inspect for reversed, broken, or cut wires, repairing or replacing them as necessary.

  To improve the remote's operating range, try relocating the remote inside the car and pointing it at the garage door. Replace the battery in the remote. Reposition the door opener antenna. If the remote LED does not come on when you push the button, replace the battery. Also, eliminate possible competing signals, such as satellite radio or FiOS® TV.
