1. Ensure the Blender power cord is
unplugged.
2. Align the top of the shaft to the
corresponding end of the motor body
to attach. Press together until the shaft
“clicks” and locks together with the
motor body.
3. Prepare and place ingredients in the
blending beaker (included), a high-
walled pot or another appropriately-
sized container.
4. Plug power cord into 110V outlet. Once
plugged in, the headlight will be softly
lit, indicating the Blender is powered on.
5. Select desired speed by twisting the
speed control ring at the top of the
motor body.
NOTE: To avoid splattering, OXO
recommends starting with a low
speed and gradually increasing to
high speed.
6. Place the Blender head as deep as
possible into ingredients.
NOTE:
• When blending, liquid levels should stay at least 1 inch below
where the Blender shaft attaches to the motor body.
• The scratch-resistant nylon head is designed to be safe on
non-stick pots and pans.
7. Press and hold the power button to
activate Blender. The headlight will
brighten for better visibility into your
bowl. The Blender will continue to run
as long as the power button is held
down. The light will dim a few seconds
after button is released.
8. Gently blend the ingredients until a
desired consistency is reached. The
soft-touch ergonomic grip is designed
for safety and stability when blending.
NOTE:
•
The beaker lid can be used to rest the Blender head between blending.
• To ensure all ingredients are blended thoroughly, keep the Blender
in motion (up, down and around).
• Keep the Blender head immersed to prevent splatter.
• If ingredients are too dry to blend, add liquid and continue blending.
9. Switch off the motor by releasing the
power button. Wait for the blades to
stop turning before removing Blender
from ingredients. To remove food left
between blades, gently tap shaft on
edge of bowl or pot. The soft-touch
Blender shaft is designed to be gentle
on pot edges.
CAUTION: Never use fingers to remove food from blades.
NOTE: The Blender remembers the last speed used. To avoid splatter
during next use, switch to the lowest speed before storing.
10. Unplug the power cord from the outlet
after use.
11. Detach the blending
shaft before cleaning
by pressing the eject
button and pulling the
shaft away from the
motor body.
12. The OXO blending
beaker and silicone lid
can be used to store
food in the fridge.
NOTE: Blending beaker lid is not
leakproof.
The Particulars of Blending
CAUTION:
• Do not operate the Immersion Blender continuously for longer than
1 minute. Allow the motor to rest for 1 minute between each use.
• If food becomes lodged around the blades or blade guard, release
the power button, wait for blades to stop spinning and unplug
from power outlet before attempting to clear lodged food. Use a
spatula to carefully dislodge food. Never use fingers to dislodge
food, as the blades are sharp.
• Do not attempt to blend fruit pits, bones, ice or other hard
materials, as these can damage the Blender blades.
