What to do if my Oxytek Medical Technology OX- A unit does not operate?
    • T
      Taylor CampbellAug 5, 2025
If your Oxytek Medical Technology Oxygen Equipment isn't operating, the power light is off, and the service required light is flashing with an audible alarm, it could be due to several reasons: * The power cord might not be properly inserted into the wall outlet. Ensure it's correctly plugged in, checking both the wall and the back of the unit for 230-volt models. * There might be no power at the wall outlet. Check your home circuit breaker and reset it if needed. Try a different wall outlet if the problem persists. * The oxygen concentrator circuit breaker might be activated (on selected units). Press the concentrator circuit breaker button located below the power switch. If it happens again, use a different wall outlet.

Overview

The OX-A Series Oxygen Concentrator is a medical device designed to provide supplemental low-flow oxygen therapy in various settings, including homes, nursing homes, and patient care facilities. It operates by separating oxygen from room air, delivering high-purity oxygen through an oxygen outlet. The concentrator is electrically operated and is available in two models: OX-10A and OX-5A, offering different oxygen delivery rates.

Function Description

The primary function of the OX-A Series Oxygen Concentrator is to supply a continuous flow of oxygen to individuals who require supplemental oxygen due to respiratory or heart conditions. It achieves this by drawing in ambient air, filtering it, and then concentrating the oxygen before delivering it to the user via a nasal cannula, catheter, or face mask. The device is intended to improve symptoms such as headaches, drowsiness, confusion, fatigue, or increased irritability caused by insufficient oxygen intake from room air alone.
