2. INSTALLATION PREPARATION
2.1. Preparation
Before starting the installation, ensure that the roof of your vehicle is sufficiently sturdy. Ensure that the permis-
sible roof load of your vehicle is not exceeded when installing the system and accessing the roof.
If the roof is not strong enough, or if you are in any doubt, attach a 3-mm sheet-metal panel of 100 x 100 cm to
the outer skin of the roof to improve stability. Check with the vehicle manufacturer.
Make sure that there is enough space for the system when it is folded down and for the action radius (pivoting
radius).
Note that the direction of travel must be observed when mounting the system (see pictures on the following
pages). The system must retract toward the rear end of the vehicle, and the wiring connection of the system must
point toward the rear end of the vehicle.
