User descripon
P-LIGHT® is suitable for enrely separate
lighng circuits, i.e. for connecng the
trailer’s two lighng circuits to terminals
5 and 7 Midi = max 2x25W / Maxi max
2x100W.Thecircuitsareseparatedfromone
another but are controlled by pushbuon
1 for ON and OFF. When the parking/side
lightsareswitchedo(e.g.whenthetrailer
is disconnected), P-LIGHT® is acvated so
that the connected parking lights can be
switched on and o easily with P-LIGHT®.
Whenthetrailerisreconnectedtothetruck
and the truck lighng is switched on, the
ordinary parking/side lights on the trailer
alsocomeon(includingtheonesconnected
viaP-LIGHT®terminals5and7).Atthesame
me, the specially developed electronic
booster starts charging P-LIGHT® special
aeriesautomacallyMidi<5A/Maxi<10A.
P-LIGHT®alsohasan“AUX”outputforradio
control operaon, for example. Maxi also
hasan “Opon”output which iscontrolled
by pushbuon 2 for work lighng, strobes,
cabinetlighng,etc.
The P-LIGHT® electronics box uses a small
quiescentcurrent(<3mA)whichmeansthat
thebaerieshavetobefullychargedbefore
the trailer is shut down for any length of
me.Ifitistobeshutdownformorethan
one month,the cable fuse at the baeries
mustberemoved.
LED bulbs of an approved variety are
recommended in order to provide the
best possible operang me. This is
recommendedinparcular ifP-LIGHT®will
beusedalotduringtheshiorifthe“winter
climate”oeninvolvestemperaturesbelow
freezing.(-20°Creducesbaerycapacitybya
factorof40-50%).
Installaon
WerecommendthatyoumounttheP-LIGHT
easily accessible for use, service and
maintenance, and that the cable roung
fromthepowersupplytotheP-LIGHTisas
shortaspossible.
