User descripon
P-LIGHT® is suitable for enrely separate
lighng circuits, i.e. for connecng the
trailer’s two lighng circuits to terminals
5 and 7 Midi = max 2x25W / Maxi max
2x100W.Thecircuitsareseparatedfromone
another but are controlled by pushbuon
1 for ON and OFF. When the parking/side
lightsareswitchedo(e.g.whenthetrailer
is disconnected), P-LIGHT® is acvated so
that the connected parking lights can be
switched on and o easily with P-LIGHT®.
Whenthetrailerisreconnectedtothetruck
and the truck lighng is switched on, the
ordinary parking/side lights on the trailer
alsocomeon(includingtheonesconnected
viaP-LIGHT®terminals5and7).Atthesame
me, the specially developed electronic
booster starts charging P-LIGHT® special
aeriesautomacallyMidi<5A/Maxi<10A.
P-LIGHT®alsohasan“AUX”outputforradio
control operaon, for example. Maxi also
hasan “Opon”output which iscontrolled
by pushbuon 2 for work lighng, strobes,
cabinetlighng,etc.
The P-LIGHT® electronics box uses a small
quiescentcurrent(<3mA)whichmeansthat
thebaerieshavetobefullychargedbefore
the trailer is shut down for any length of
me.Ifitistobeshutdownformorethan
one month,the cable fuse at the baeries
mustberemoved.
LED bulbs of an approved variety are
recommended in order to provide the
best possible operang me. This is
recommendedinparcular ifP-LIGHT®will
beusedalotduringtheshiorifthe“winter
climate”oeninvolvestemperaturesbelow
freezing.(-20°Creducesbaerycapacitybya
factorof40-50%).
Installaon
WerecommendthatyoumounttheP-LIGHT
easily accessible for use, service and
maintenance, and that the cable roung
fromthepowersupplytotheP-LIGHTisas
shortaspossible.
