4.19 Make sure the blade is free of long grass and the cutting height is set to maximum (1).
4.20 Pull the Operator Presence Control (OPC) lever (2) towards the main handle.
4.21 Make sure the choke lever is in the closed position (3).
4.22 Turn the ignition key to the ON position (1).
4.23 Then turn and hold the ignition key in the START position (2).
DO NOT hold it in the start position for longer than 5 seconds.
4.24 Once the lawn mower starts, release the key and it will automatically turn to the ON
position.
4.25 If the lawn mower fails to start after 5 seconds, return the key to the ON position and
wait 20 seconds before trying again.
