18. Scan to file: click this button to perform a scan on all selected
frames and save each of the image directly after scanned.
19. Calibration (light source): the light source is calibrated each
time when you turn on the scanner. You can use this button to
manually control the frequency of the light source calibration.
20. About (Version Numbers and Firmware Upgrade): Click this
button to display the scanner and firmware upgrade information.
21. Help: click to open an electronic version (PDF format) of this user
manual.
22. Exit: click to close the scanner software window.
23. Status Bar: displays the scanner status messages and a brief
description of each control when the pointer is over the control.
Image Area
24. Units and Rulers: click the icon at intersection of the vertical and
horizontal rulers to set the units preference.
25 Tab Position (for filmstrip only): use these tabs to move the
frame to its proper position in case the scanner mis-positioned the
frame.
26 Film Type (Negative, Reversal, B&W, and Film Terms): use
the radio buttons to select color Negative, color Reversal or B&W
negative. The Scene Balance (SB) is automatically applied for
color and B&W negatives, but is not automatically applied for a
Reversal.
27 Profiles(Monitor and Output): select your color monitor and
output space from the drop-down list provided with the scanner
software.
28 Color Depth: select Color Depth by choosing either 8 bit or 12 bit
per channel from the Color Depth drop-down list.
29 Sharpening: use these choices to adjust the level of edge
definition between image elements. Choose Off, Low, Medium, or
High as the sharpening level.
30 Output Size and Input Values (Width, Height, Lock, Magnify,
Resolution, File Size): the input values and output values are all
interrelated. A change in one of the parameters may change
another parameter.
