  If your Paco-Pumps Water Pump isn't delivering liquid at start-up, it might be due to several reasons: * The pump may not have been properly bled of air; in this case, properly bleed the pump of air. * The pump suction line may not be completely primed; completely prime the pump suction line. * The suction valve might be closed or only partially open; ensure the suction valve is fully open. * The suction strainer could be clogged with dirt or debris; clean or replace the clogged suction strainer.

  If your Paco-Pumps Water Pump overheats and/or ceases to deliver liquid, make sure proper cooling fluid is supplied to the shaft seals. Also, excessive tightening of the packing gland may block the flushing port thereby diminishing the sealing fluid flow, so adjust the packing gland to allow proper flushing fluid flow. You can also inspect the pump for signs of overheating and check the bearings.
