This document describes the Vibration Anti-Bark Collar User Manual, Model Number: PD 258-V.
The PD 258-V is a vibration-based anti-bark collar designed to help train dogs to stop excessive barking. It uses vibration as a deterrent, activating when it detects a dog's bark. The collar is designed to be humane, safe, and effective, utilizing vibration technology to warn the dog to stop barking. It incorporates an "Automatic Intelligence Mode" which resets the collar to an initial standby model after 30 seconds of the dog stopping barking, regardless of how many times it has activated. If the collar activates 7 times consecutively, the signal lamp will flash rapidly, and the collar will pause operation for 30 seconds before resetting to its initial standby mode. This feature aims to prevent over-stimulation and ensure the dog has time to process the training.
The device features cycle charging and energy-saving functions. For charging, it requires a USB charger with specific parameters:
Turning On/Off: The collar is turned on by pressing the switch and turned off by pressing the switch for one second.
Sensitivity Adjusting: The sensitivity of the collar can be adjusted to match the loudness of the dog's barking. There are 5 sensitivity levels, with the initial factory setting being level 3. Users can adjust the sensitivity using the "+/-" buttons, accompanied by a "bleep" sound. A higher sensitivity setting means the collar will be easier to activate.
Vibration Test: To test the vibration function, users can blow directly into the "sense hole" located in the middle of the collar or imitate barking loudly. This action should trigger the collar's vibration.
Training Instructions:
Collar Fit: Proper fit is crucial for the collar's effectiveness. The collar should be placed below the dog's neck with approximately a finger's space between the collar and the neck. If the collar is too loose, the vibration effect will be significantly reduced. The nylon strap can be trimmed if it is too long. It is explicitly stated not to tie a leash to the collar strap.
Charging: The collar features a cycle charging function. A red light will twinkle while charging and will remain solid red (without twinkling) once fully charged. If the battery level becomes too low, the collar will automatically shut down, indicating that it needs to be charged promptly.
Safety Notes:
Reminders for Effective Use:
The manual also includes visual instructions for installing the nylon collar, demonstrating how to thread the strap through the buckle and adjust it, and how to trim any excess length.
