Security Measures
User Password is set when several people will be using this computer.
For example, the system administrator sets the Supervisor Password and the User
Password, and only advises the other users of the User Password. In this way, other users
can be restricted from changing the Setup Utility.
NOTE
z When the Supervisor Password has not been set, the User Password cannot be set.
Set the Supervisor Password if you have not done so (Î page 50)
z To disable the User Password, start up the Setup Utility with the Supervisor Password
1 Run the Setup Utility. (Î page 147)
2 Using either the Î key or the Í key, select [Security].
3 Using either the Ï key or the Ð key, select [Set User Password] and
press the
Enter
key.
4 Only when the User Password has been set:
Enter your password at [Enter Current Password] and press the
Enter
key.
5 Enter your password at [Enter New Password] and press the
Enter
key.
z To disable the User Password
Press only the
Enter
key
