The issue could also be due to the music files not being in a compatible format, so verify that the USB contains playable music data. Also, the file system of the USB device might be incompatible; use a USB device with a FAT12/16/32 file system. The current consumption of the USB device may exceed 500 mA; use a device with lower consumption. Avoid using a USB hub. Finally, if there are numerous folders and files, it may take a while to read them all.
