Usage Features:

  • Basic Operation:
    • Start/Stop: Press the OFF/ON button. The OFF indication on the display will be present when starting the unit.
    • Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through i AUTO, COOL, and DRY modes.
    • Temperature Adjustment: Use the TEMP Up/Down buttons. Press and hold the TEMP button for approximately 10 seconds to switch between °C and °F display.
  • Airflow Direction:
    • Vertical Airflow (AIR SWING): Automatically adjusts the vertical flap. Do not manually adjust the flap.
    • Horizontal Airflow (<>): Automatically adjusts the horizontal flap. In i AUTO/COOL/DRY modes, if AUTO is set, the flap swings up/down automatically. If manual is set, the horizontal flap is fixed at the predetermined position.
  • Fan Speed:
    • AUTO FAN: The indoor fan speed is automatically adjusted according to the operation mode.
    • i AUTO Mode: If i AUTO mode is set, fan speed is fixed to AUTO. To adjust fan speed, cancel i AUTO mode.
  • Quiet Operation (QUIET): Reduces airflow noise.
  • Rapid Temperature Reach (i AUTO): The unit sets the temperature according to room temperature to accelerate cooling. After a maximum of 4 hours, the set temperature follows the last set temperature setting. Fan speed is fixed at AUTO. Can be activated when the unit is off by pressing i AUTO.
  • Sleep Mode (SLEEP): Automatically adjusts the sleep pattern temperature during activation for comfort. The indoor unit indicator dims. This operation can be combined with the activation timer (0.5 to 9 hours). Sleep operation takes priority over the OFF timer.
  • Timer Setting: Allows scheduling ON or OFF times. The timer operation is based on the remote control's clock and repeats daily once set.

Maintenance Features:

  • General Cleaning:
    • Switch off power and unplug before cleaning.
    • Do not touch aluminum fins.
    • Avoid benzine, thinner, scouring powder.
    • Use only soap (pH 7) or neutral household detergent.
    • Do not use water hotter than 40 °C / 104 °F.
  • Indoor Unit: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Coils and fans should be cleaned every 6 months by an authorized dealer.
  • Outdoor Unit: Clear debris around the unit and any blockages from the drain pipe.
  • Front Panel: Wash gently and dry. To remove, release hooks at both ends, pull out, and lift up. To close, insert at both sides, push in, close down, and press both ends and center.
  • Air Filters: Clean every 2 weeks. Wash/rinse gently with water, dry thoroughly under shade, away from fire or direct sunlight. Replace any damaged filters.
  • Anti-bacterial Filter: Clean whenever necessary. Wash/rinse gently, dry thoroughly under shade. Replace every 10 years or if damaged. Part no.: CZ-SA22P.
  • Seasonal Inspection (Extended Non-Use): Check remote control batteries, clear obstructions around air inlet/outlet vents. Use OFF/ON button to select COOL operation; normal temperature difference after 15 minutes is expected.
  • Long-Term Non-Use: Turn off power, unplug, and remove remote control batteries.
