BEFORE
USE
Loading
Batteries

Be
sure
to
wipe
the
unit
before
installing
the
batteries
so
that
no
water
enters
the
battery
compartment.
1.
Align
the
cap
with
the
mark
on
the
unit
as
shown
in
Fig.
2
and
remove
the
cap.
2.
Twist
the
battery
cover
to
the
OPEN
position
and
open
it
(Fig.
3}.
3.
Insert
two
1.5-V
alkaline
(AA/LR6)
batteries,
ensuring
correct
“+”
and
“—
polarity.
@The
device
can
be
used
approximately
60
times
(with
one
full
reservoir
of
water
per
use)
with
a
fresh
set
of
Panasonic
alkaline
batteries.
e
With
rechargeable
batteries
(Panasonic
Super
Ni-Cd
1000/
DC
1.2-V,
P-3SPS)
installed,
the
device
can
be
used
approximately
60
times.
@
Do
not
mix
old
and
new
batteries.
4.
Twist
the
battery
cover
to
the
CLOSE
position
and
close
it.
5.
Replace
the
cap,
aligning
the
mark
on
the
unit
as
shown
in
Fig.
4.
Note:
|
The
batteries’
power
output
is
impaired
at
low
temperatures.
CAUTION:
Do
not
throw
batteries
into
a
fire.
Doing
so
may
result
in
an
accident
or
explosion.
USING
YOUR
ORAL
IRRIGATOR
(Figs.

&
6)

Rinsing
your
mouth
with
mouthwash
is
not
a
substitute
for
proper
dental
care.
Brush
your
teeth
or
dental
prosthesis
for
at
least
five
minutes
immediately
after
every
meal,
then
use
the
device,
.
Turn
the
cap
to
align
its
hole
with
the
unit's
nozzle
insertion
hole.
2.
Remove
the
nozzle
from
its
compartment
and
insert
firmly
into
the
nozzle
insertion
hole
until
the
nozzle
clicks
into
piace.
3.
Twist
the
water
reservoir
section
to
the
left
and
pull
it
downward
to
the
water
reservoir
usable
line.
4.
Open
the
water
reservoir
lid
and
fill
the
reservoir
with
cold
or
warm
water,
not
warmer
than
104°F
(40°C).
@
Do
not
put
any
toothpaste,
powder
or
other
chemicals
into
the
water
reservoir.
e
Certain
types
of
mouthwash
may
damage
the
unit
by
causing
the
housing
or
reservoir
to
crack.
Therefore,
use
only
water
in
the
water
reservoir.
