Overview

The Panasonic F-P04DXZ is an air purifier designed for indoor use, focusing on fighting allergens and viruses, as well as removing bacteria and mold. It incorporates a composite air filter that combines Super alleru-buster, Green tea Catechin, and anti-bacteria functions.

Function Description:

The air purifier's primary function is to clean indoor air by inactivating allergens, viruses, bacteria, and mold. The Super alleru-buster technology restrains the activity of allergens such as house dust, mites (corpse/excreta), pollens, fungus/mold spores, and pet dander. Green tea catechin, a natural element extracted from green tea, inactivates viruses. The anti-bacteria function removes and restrains the reproduction of bacteria and mold caught by the filter. The device also features an "AIC patrolling" (Air Intelligent Control) function, which periodically recirculates air to detect unexpected pollutants, ensuring continuous air purification. It can detect odors from cigarettes, incense, cooking, pets, cosmetics, alcohol, and sprays. It may also detect humidity, oil fumes, and sudden temperature changes. However, it does not detect house dust, dead mites, mite droppings, mold spores, pollen, bacteria, or viruses directly, but rather inactivates them once caught by the filter.

  • Air Quality Monitor: Indicators (Blue, Blue-Red, Red) show air quality, with more blue indicating cleaner air.
  • Patrol Mode: Operates in a 10-minute on/50-minute off cycle at "Mid" speed to detect and purify air. If pollutants are detected while off, it automatically starts at a fan speed corresponding to the pollution level.
  • Allergen Mode: Designed to efficiently remove allergens, operating in a cycle of approximately 30 minutes "Hi," 15 minutes "Off," 16 minutes "Lo," 15 minutes "Off," 16 minutes "Lo," and 15 minutes "Off" to maintain clean air over a 24-hour cycle.

  • Pollutant Sensor Sensitivity: A sensor switch (Lo/Hi) at the rear of the unit adjusts the sensitivity of pollutant detection.
  • Minus Ion Emission: Emits minus ions from the air outlet when running, indicated by a green light.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance:

  • Main Unit Cleaning: Wipe with a cloth soaked in natural household detergent and wrung dry, once a month. Do not use water directly or harsh chemicals like bleach or polish.
  • Air Intake Grille Cleaning: Soak a cloth in natural household detergent, wring it dry, and wipe away dirt, once a month. For stubborn stains, wash with water and dry thoroughly. The grille can be removed by pulling up tabs on top and reinstalled by aligning protrusions with holes and pressing down.
  • Composite Air Filter Cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner with a shelf nozzle (with brush) or narrow nozzle to suck away dirt, once a month. Do not press the vacuum cleaner onto the filter or use water, as this can damage it or render it ineffective.
  • Filter Replacement: Both the composite air filter (F-Y104WZ) and deodorizing filter (F-Y504WZ) should be replaced approximately every 2 years, or sooner if the deodorizing function becomes less effective. The replacement period may vary depending on usage conditions (e.g., smoking households). Used filters cannot be washed or reused and should be disposed of as non-combustible refuse.
  • Filter Installation: When installing, the composite air filter should have the "FRONT SIDE" facing the air intake grille, and the deodorizing filter should have the "UPPER" symbol facing the operation panel.
  • Date Recording: Users are advised to write the date of first use and filter replacement dates on labels provided on the main unit and accessory filter labels.

Safety Precautions:

The manual emphasizes several safety precautions, including:

  • Do not disassemble or modify the appliance.
  • Do not let the appliance get wet.
  • Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
  • Do not use overloaded wall sockets or wiring equipment.
  • Insert the power plug thoroughly and clean it periodically.

  • Hold the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting.
  • Do not let volatile substances or burning items get inside the appliance.
  • Contact dealer/service center if any abnormality occurs.
