FADE
IN/OUT
OPERATION
When
the
movie
or
TV
program
is
seen,
the
picture
gradually
appears
at
the
beginning
of
the
scene
(FADE
IN
effect)
and
gradually
disappears
at
the
end
of
the
scene
(FADE
OUT
effect).
When
the
FADE
IN/OUT
effect
is
desired,
press
the
VTR
Start/Pause
Button
(55)
on
the
grip
shoulder
or
on
the
camera
remote
controller
after
depressing
the
Fade-in/out
Switch
(43).
The
FADE
IN/OUT
effect
will
be
accomplish
once.
If
another
FADE
IN/OUT
effect
is
desired,
the
Fade-in/out
switch
should
be
pressed
again.
This
prevents
the
FADE
IN/OUT
performance
at
undesired
portion
by
misoperation.
The
audio
sound
FADE
IN/OUT
effect
is
simultaneously
per-
formed
with
the
picture
fade
in/out.
White
Fade/Black
Fade
When
operating
the
Fade-in/out
Button
(43),
this
function
offers
an
additional
feature
(57).
In
case
that
the
WHITE
mode
is
selected,
the
fading-in
or
fading-
out
picture
ends
to
white
scene.
And
if
the
BLACK
mode
is
selected,
the
fading-in
or
fading-out
picture
ends
to
black
scene.
FADE
IN
Effect
1.
Press
the
Fade-in/out
Switch
(43)
while
VTR
is
in
Record/
Pause
mode.
The
letter
F
is
displayed
in
the
viewfinder.
2.
Press
the
VTR
Start/Pause
Button
(55)
for
VTR
recording.
3.
The
picture
in
the
viewfinder
disappears
once,
then
the
picture
gradually
appears
again
(fade
in).
The
audio
sound
is
also
simultaneously
performed
with
the
picture
fade
in.
When
the
picture
in
the
viewfinder
disappears,
the
blinking
REC
is
displayed
and
the
VTR
starts
to
record.
The
letter
F
disappears
when
the
fade
in
effect
is
com-
pleted.
