Installing Microsoft POS for .NET

Download and Unzip Installer

Download the Microsoft POS for .NET installer and unzip the files.

Run Setup Executable

Navigate to the unzipped folder and run Setup.exe to start the installation.

Provide User and Organization Information

Enter user name and organization, then select Next.

Accept License Agreement

Review and accept the software license terms.

Select Installation Type

Choose installation type (Typical, Complete, Custom) and path.

Start Installation

Review components and click 'Install' to begin.

Finish Installation

Click 'Finish' to close the wizard after successful installation.

Installing the OPOS Manager

Download OPOS Manager Installer

Download the OPOS Control Manager installer from the provided URL.

Proceed Through Setup Wizard

Click 'Next' through the initial setup wizard steps.

Select Destination Location

Confirm or select the installation directory for the OPOS driver.

Select Start Menu Folder

Choose the Start Menu folder for program shortcuts.

Create Desktop Icon

Optionally create a desktop icon for the application.

Begin Installation

Review settings and click 'Install' to start the OPOS driver installation.

Restart Computer

Select 'Yes, restart the computer now' to complete setup.

Finish Setup Wizard

Click 'Finish' to close the setup wizard.

Configuring CRE/RPE for Device Communication

Access Setup Screen

Open CRE/RPE, select Manager, enter credentials, and access Setup Screen.

Configure Pole Display

Select Hardware tab, Page 1, set Pole Display Type to OPOS, and choose JS-925WS_VFD2L.

Configure MSR (Card Swipe)

Select Hardware tab, Page 3, and set OPOS MSR to MSR250.

Update Settings

Click the 'Update' button to save the configuration changes.
