Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 MENU/SET Commands
The Panasonic GH2 camera contains a vast menu structure consisting of groups of commands, and in some cases subcommands. Each command has option values for
you to select, which will determine how the camera will function within specific scenarios.
The following chart is designed to give you an easy method to run through all of the available commands and their option values so you can see the camera’s com-
mand capabilities, investigate commands that may interest you, and quickly understand the possible option values. The chart is organized in order of the displayed menu
structure underlying the MENU/SET button.

FILM MODE 1
This command is common to both the REC and MOTION PICTURE menus.
It contains 10 different color schemes (tones and contrasts) to choose
from. In addition, you can set up to two separate groups of settings
within MY FILM 1 and MY FILM 2, and can use MULTIFILM to group
together up to 3 Film Mode values to be taken with a single push of the
shutter-release button.
[STANDARD] and [STANDARD B&W] are the only options available when
in Intelligent Auto, SCN, Portrait, Scenery, and Close-up Modes.
CINEMA
CONTRAST: Allows you to adjust the brightness within the picture.
SHARPNESS: Allows you to adjust the pictures sharpness.
SATURATION: Allows you to adjust the picture’s color saturation between
vivid and natural. Not available for B&W options.
NOISE REDUCTION: Allows you to reduce the picture’s noise and therefore
affect the picture resolution.
MEMORY: Allows you to save your contrast, sharpness, saturation, and
noise reduction settings for future use. Not available for MY FILM 1, MY
FILM 2, and MULTI FILM options.

MY FILM 1 A designation for storing a set of Film Mode values for easy retrieval.
MY FILM 2 A designation for storing a set of Film Mode values for easy retrieval.
MULTI FILM
MULTI FILM 1: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
MULTI FILM 2: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
MULTI FILM 3: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
ASPECT RATIO 1
Aspect ratio defines the ratio of width to height of the resulting picture
for printing and playback. The 4:3 aspect ratio means 4 units of width to
3units of height. The width of the resulting picture would be greater than
its height by 1 unit.
4:3 4 to 3 ratio of width to height is typical for a standard TV.
3:2 3 to 2 ratio of width to height is typical for a 35mm camera.
16:9 16 to 9 ratio of width to height is typical for a high-definition TV.
1:1 1 to 1 ratio of width to height results in a square picture.
