- Cotton Eco: For saving water and energy, with a max capacity of 7.0 kg (NA-F70A9) / 6.0 kg (NA-F60A9). This program is recommended for normally soiled cotton loads as the most efficient energy and water-saving program based on AS/NZS 2040.1, AS/NZS 2040.2, and AS/NZS 6400. Softener cannot be used with this program.
- Bedding: For comforters and blankets with a machine-washable tag, with a max capacity of 4.2 kg. The water amount indication shows the maximum and cannot be changed for this program.
- Stain Master: For specific stains (Odour/Aroma+, Mud, Sauce). Odour/Aroma+ uses more softener to keep the scent longer. Max capacity varies by stain type (7.0 kg / 6.0 kg for Odour/Aroma+, 4.0 kg for Mud/Sauce). The wash process settings cannot be changed for this program.
- Air Dry (90 min): For drying synthetic fiber clothes (max 2.0 kg) by blowing air from tub rotation. This function does not use a heater, so clothes may not be completely dry.
- Tub Hygiene: For tub cleaning and removing black mold and smell.
Washing Options:
- Preset: Allows setting a delay for the operation to finish (2-24 hours for Daily Wash, 1-24 hours for Quick Wash, 3-24 hours for Cotton Eco, 2-24 hours for Stain Master).
- Wash / Rinse / Spin: Allows individual selection of these cycles.
Detergent/Softener/Bleach: Instructions are provided for adding powder detergent, liquid detergent, softener, and bleach. It is noted that if powder detergent does not dissolve well, it should be mixed with warm water before adding.
Convenient Functions:
- Cancelling buzzer: Hold "Start/Pause" and "Power" for 3 seconds.
- Setting Child Lock: Hold "Tub Hygiene" for 5 seconds. This function locks the lid and button operations.
- Turning the tub by hand: Allows manual rotation of the tub.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of the washing machine:
Lint Filter: Clean after each operation. Instructions include removing the filter, washing it, and reattaching it. If the filter is difficult to remove, refer to the "Turning the tub by hand" function. If the filter is broken, contact a local dealer.
Detergent and Softener Drawer: Clean if stained with detergent or softener. The drawer can be removed for thorough cleaning and then reattached.
Main Unit, Lid: For heavy soil, use a neutral kitchen detergent to clean the main unit and lid. Avoid using water directly on the control panel.
Water Supply Filter: Clean if water does not flow smoothly. This involves turning off the water supply, disconnecting the hoses, removing and cleaning the filters, and then reattaching everything securely.
Tub:
- Air Dry (90 min): Use once a week to dry the tub.
- Tub Hygiene: Use once a month for tub cleaning to remove black mold and smell. This involves adding whiten bleach (chlorine bleach) and running the Tub Hygiene program, which takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Installation
Proper installation is essential for safe and optimal operation:
Location Check:
- Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Ensure the machine is on a stable, level surface.
- Maintain at least 10 cm clearance from the wall to minimize noise.
- Do not install on the bottom packing.
- Do not obstruct the openings of the bottom face with carpet.
- Keep away from flammable materials.
- Do not wash waterproof items (e.g., raincoats, wet suits).
- Only wash machine-washable items.
Service Person Installation: It is recommended to have a service person install the appliance. Panasonic is not liable for accidents or damage if the installation instructions are not followed.
Bottom Cover: Attach the bottom cover using the provided screw.
Drain Hose: Securely hook the drain hose to prevent it from coming off due to water pressure. Ensure the hose is not twisted, pulled out, bent, or submerged in water. The drain hose should be directed upwards, with a height of 80-120 cm. Installation must comply with AS/NZS 3500.1 requirements.
Water Supply Hoses: Connect the HOT (white) and COLD (gray) water supply hoses correctly and tighten the nuts firmly. Do not twist, squash, modify, or cut the hoses. If using an uncontrolled water heating source, a tempering device (e.g., a safe valve) should be fitted to ensure hot water temperature remains within safe limits.
Power Plug and Grounding: Securely insert the grounded power plug into an appropriate socket. Wipe the power plug periodically to prevent dust accumulation. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified persons.
Leveling: Adjust the adjustable legs to ensure the washing machine is level.
Trial Operation: After installation, perform a trial operation to check for abnormal sounds or error displays.

Error Display and Troubleshooting
The manual includes a section on error displays and troubleshooting common issues:
Error Displays:
- U11 (Water cannot drain): Check the drain hose for twists, blockages, or incorrect height (80-120 cm).
- U12 (The lid is open): Close the lid.
- U13 (Spin or "Air Dry" is not possible): Indicates uneven laundry or an unstable/inclined machine. Redistribute laundry or adjust the machine's level.
- U14 (Water cannot be supplied): Check for water outage, turned-off faucet, or a clogged water supply filter.
- U99 (Water has been forcibly drained): Occurs if Child Lock is set and the power is turned off, or if the power plug is removed during operation.
- H00 (Inspection is required): Contact customer service.
Troubleshooting (Symptoms and Points to be checked):
- Indication increases or does not decrease: Time indication is approximate and corrected during operation.
- Longer than the indication: May occur if clothes are uneven, water drainage is not good, or water supply is not good.
- Operation passes the preset time: Check for power failure or if the timer preset was set incorrectly.
- No operation: Check if the lid is closed, power is on, power plug is inserted, and the breaker is on. Press "Start/Pause".
- Cannot change process settings (after start): This is normal; settings cannot be changed once the wash cycle has started.
- Water is supplied while washing: Water is added automatically if the water level drops or the amount of laundry is large.
- The water level is too high/low: The water level may be higher if laundry is wet or there is water in the tub before operation. It may be lower if clothes are light (synthetic fiber).
- Operation started with rinse, but water is not supplied: Check if there is water in the tub. Water is supplied after spin or after water discharge and spin.
- Spin changes to rinse / Rinse starts instead of spin: If clothes are uneven, the appliance automatically corrects unevenness by a rinse process.
- Irregular rotation: The tub rotation speed is adjusted to reduce vibration.
- Power failure/Breaker off: Operation will resume from where it stopped when power is recovered.
- Stain Master has no effect: Check max capacity, pretreat heavily stained items, and select the correct stain type.
- Powder detergent remains undissolved: Mix and dilute powder in warm water before adding to the bleach inlet.
