Function Description

The Panasonic OLED TV is designed to provide a high-quality viewing experience with advanced features. It supports various input modes, including terrestrial, satellite, and analogue signals, as well as external AV devices and network connections for internet services. The TV incorporates a built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth® wireless technology for enhanced connectivity. It is capable of displaying 4K content and offers features like VIERA Link for integrated control with compatible Panasonic devices. The TV also includes a built-in eHELP system, which serves as a detailed operating instruction manual for comprehensive guidance on all features and settings.

Usage Features

  • First-time Auto Setup: Upon initial power-on, the TV guides the user through an automatic setup process to search for available channels and configure basic settings. This includes selecting the viewing environment (Home or Shop) and setting up network connections.
  • Input Mode Selection: Users can easily switch between different input modes such as Freesat, DVB, Analogue, Other Sat., and Satellite, as well as AV input modes, using the remote control.
  • Channel Selection: Channels can be selected using the numeric buttons or the Channel Up/Down buttons on the remote control.
  • eHELP System: The TV features a comprehensive built-in eHELP system, accessible via the [HELP] button on the remote control. This system provides detailed operating instructions, troubleshooting tips, and information on various functions. It offers different search options, including "How to use," "Keyword Search," "Search by Purpose," and "Support" (FAQs).
  • Remote Control: The TV comes with a standard remote control (N2QAYA000144) for basic operations like power on/off, volume control, channel selection, menu navigation, and access to specific functions like Netflix and eHELP.
  • Touch Pad Controller: An optional Touch Pad Controller (N2QBYA000019) is available for more intuitive operation, especially for navigating the Home Screen and internet content. It uses Bluetooth® wireless technology and includes a touch pad, microphone for Voice Control, and various buttons for menu navigation and application access. The controller needs to be registered with the TV after battery installation.
  • HDMI Auto Setting: For 4K compatible equipment, the TV offers an [HDMI Auto Setting] in the Setup Menu to reproduce images more precisely with an expanded color gamut. Users can select between [Mode1] for better compatibility or [Mode2] for precise image output.
  • USB HDD Recording: The TV supports recording to a USB HDD connected to the USB 1 port.
  • Common Interface (CI) Slot: For encrypted channels, a CI module and smart card can be inserted into the CI slot. The TV provides instructions on proper insertion and removal.

  • Aspect Ratio: The aspect ratio can be adjusted using the "Aspect" button on the remote control.

  • Light Button: The remote control has a "Light" button to illuminate the buttons for approximately 5 seconds.
  • Text Service and Subtitles: Buttons for text service and subtitles are available on the remote control.
  • Panel Maintenance: The TV performs automatic panel maintenance to prevent image retention. Users are advised to turn off the TV with the remote control for this process. During maintenance, the LED turns orange, and it's important to avoid touching or exerting pressure on the screen.

Maintenance Features

  • Display Panel, Cabinet, Pedestal Care: For regular care, gently wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water or a diluted neutral detergent, then wipe away all moisture. Avoid using hard cloths, rubbing too hard, or using insect repellents, solvents, thinners, or volatile substances, as these can damage the surface. The display panel is specially treated and can be easily damaged, so avoid tapping or scratching it.
  • Mains Plug Care: Wipe the mains plug with a dry cloth at regular intervals to prevent fire or electrical shock caused by moisture and dust.
  • Battery Replacement: The remote control and Touch Pad Controller require batteries. When replacing, ensure correct polarity, use the same or equivalent type, and do not mix old and new or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a prolonged period to prevent leakage.
  • Ventilation: Ensure sufficient space (at least 10 cm) around the TV for adequate ventilation to prevent excessive heat, which could lead to component failure. Do not cover ventilation openings with items like newspapers or curtains.
  • Moving the TV: When moving the TV, disconnect all cables and ensure at least two people support the TV as shown in the manual to prevent injury. Transport the TV only in an upright position.
  • Wall-hanging Bracket: If using a wall-hanging bracket, it is recommended to purchase one from a local Panasonic dealer and have it installed by a licensed contractor to ensure safety and maintain performance. The manual provides instructions for removing the pedestal and back bracket when preparing for wall mounting.
  • Terminal Cover: A terminal cover is provided to conceal cables after connections are made. Ensure the cover is removed before connecting/disconnecting cables and reattached carefully to avoid nipping cables. Note that the cover may not be attachable if certain USB or HDMI ports are in use.
  • Cable Arrangement: Cable ties are provided to fix cables and keep them tidy.
