Usage Features:
- Assembly: The trolley requires assembly, which involves attaching supportive bars, trays, and securing them with cap bolts using a hexagonal wrench (6 mm). A cardboard box or similar protective material should be used on a level floor during assembly. The recommended tightening torque for cap bolts is 10 N·m.
- Casters: The trolley is equipped with casters, some of which have stoppers. To lock a caster, depress the stopper to prevent swiveling and rotation. To unlock, depress the upper stopper with a tiptoe. All four casters should be locked when the trolley is stationary.
- Safety Labels: Important precaution labels are affixed to the upper tray. These should not be removed or defaced. If damaged, replacement labels should be obtained from the dealer.
- Accessories: Specific models (e.g., PY-702CD/CE, PY-703CD/CE, PY-712CD/CE, PY-713CD/CE) include a trash bag holder (PC-5094) and accessories holder (PC-5095). These are also available as options for other models. Only Paramount-specified products should be attached to the trolley to ensure stability and prevent injury or failure.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Inspection: An annual inspection is recommended to ensure safe use. This includes checking for loose parts, proper caster operation, and any damage. If any irregularities are found, contact your dealer or Paramount Bed dealer.
- Daily Maintenance (Cleaning):
- Wipe parts with a soft cloth soaked in a neutral cleaning solution lightly diluted with water and wrung out to remove excess fluid.
- Wring out as much moisture as possible from the cloth and wipe up any remaining cleaning solution residue.
- Thoroughly wipe away any leftover moisture with a dry cloth.
- Disinfecting Parts: Use specified cleaning solutions at recommended concentrations:
- Ethanol: 76.9% - 81.4%
- Benzalkonium chloride (e.g., Osvan): 0.05% - 0.2%
- Benzethonium chloride (e.g., Hiamine): 0.05% - 0.2%
- Chlorhexidine gluconate (e.g., Hibitane): 0.05%
- Sodium hypochlorite (e.g., Milton): 0.02% - 0.05%
- After using a neutral cleaning solution, thoroughly dry off parts to prevent resin parts from cracking.
- Cleaning Restrictions:
- Do not use volatile cleaning fluids (paint thinner, benzene, gasoline) or cresol, as this may cause discoloration or deterioration.
- Do not use cleaning solutions other than those listed above.
- Do not use a fluorescent brightener, as it may cause a change in gloss or discoloration.
- The product cannot be used with an ozone sterilizer or an autoclave.
Long-Term Storage:
- Do not place objects on the trolley or in the drawer (other than the provided partition board).
- Store in a location with controlled temperature (10 - 50°C) and humidity (30 - 90% RH), avoiding high temperatures, low temperatures, excessive dryness, or dust.
- Store on a level surface with all casters locked.
- Keep the instruction manual in a safe, accessible place.
Safety Precautions:
- Do not use the trolley for purposes other than its intended use (e.g., as a handrail or walker).
- Be careful not to catch tubes, hands, or arms in the gap between the grip and tray.
- Do not step or get on the trolley.
- Avoid placing the center of gravity on one side of the supportive bar or grip.
- Secure objects on the tray to prevent them from falling when moving the trolley.
- Lock casters when the trolley is not being moved.
- Do not use the trolley on slippery, dusty, or watery floors.
- Exercise caution when using the trolley on slopes or near steps.
- Be careful not to catch clothing on the grip.
- Do not use near thermal appliances or in direct sunlight.
- Do not repair or modify the product yourself.
- Do not place hands on the trolley with the drawer pulled out.
- Pay attention to people, objects, and walls when moving the trolley.
- Be careful not to catch feet on the leg part.
- Immediately wipe off any fluid (blood, drug solution, water) spilled on the trolley.
- Do not place heavy objects exceeding specified weight limits on the trolley or in its components.
