NOTE: In the case that protection
against particles moving at a
higher speed at extreme tempera-
tures is required:
The selected eye protection
equipment must be marked with
the letter T in accordance with the
letters relating to impact intensity,
i.e. FT, BT or AT.
If the letter for impact intensity is
not followed with the letter T, the
eye protection equipment must
only be used at room temperature
against high-speed particles. If
the markings for the mechani-
cal strength on the carrier body
and on the viewing pane do not
match, then the lower mechanical
protection level will always apply
for the complete product.
z Trigger device
This fastening device is operated
by pressing the trigger with your
finger. In addition, certain fasten-
ing devices must be fitted with a
trigger safety catch, which only
allows a fastening procedure to
be carried out if the mouth of the
device is placed on a workpiece.
These devices are marked with a
triangle shown standing on its
point (
) and may not be used
without an effective trigger safety
catch

on scaffolding or
ladders!
Fastening devices, which are fit-
ted with a contact trigger must
be marked with the graphical
symbol for “Do not use on scaf-
folding or ladders”. They must
not be used for certain appli-
cations, for example: when
you will be swapping from one
fixing point to another using
scaffolding, steps, ladders or
ladder-like constructions, such
as, for example, roof lathing,
or you intend to seal boxes or
crates, when fitting transport
locking devices, e.g. onto
vehicles and wagons.
