Before use
Changing the soldering tip
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS!
► Never heat the soldering iron1 without a
soldering tipq.
■ Removing the soldering tipq may only be
carried out when the appliance is switched off
and the soldering tipq has cooled down.
♦ Loosen the retaining nut 9 completely and
remove it.
♦ Pull the fixing sleeve0 off the soldering
iron1.
♦ Change the soldering tip q.
♦ Proceed in the reverse order to reassemble
the soldering iron 1.
Inserting the battery
♦ Push the charged battery5 into the soldering
station.
It clicks into place audibly.
Use

♦
Press the ON/OFF switch 6.
The status LED7 flashes red
rapidly. The soldering iron1
heats up.
♦
As soon as the status LED7 lights
up green, the soldering iron1 is
ready for use.
NOTE
► After 10 minutes, the appliance switches off
automatically and reverts to cooling mode.
Press the ON/OFF switch6 again to reheat
the appliance.
► Before using the soldering station for the first
time and before using a new soldering tip, the
soldering tipq must first be tinned.
Switching off
NOTE
► After use, always put the soldering iron1
back into the holder for the soldering iron3.
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch6
again. The status LED7 flashes
red slowly for around 10 minutes.
This is the cool-down mode and is intended to
warn the user that the soldering iron1 is still
dangerously hot.
NOTE
► After the status LED7 has gone out, leave
the soldering iron1 in the holder for the
soldering iron3 for at least 30 minutes to
cool down.
♦ When the appliance is not in use, remove the
battery5. To do so, press and hold down the
release button8.
