Audio Inputs
The X-Frame 88 includes functionality that supports a new modular input
architecture. This architecture provides the ability to configure the X-Frame
88’s inputs for a variety of functions. Two internal 4-channel module bays
provide connection to factory installed input modules. A total of two mod-
ules are installed at the factory on the X-Frame 88. Which modules are
installed is up to you!
At press time, the following modules are available for the X-Frame 88 (and
MM-8802).
MM-Line 4
The MM-Line 4 input card includes four line level inputs and installs into
slot 1 or slot 2 of the X-Frame 88 input section. The MM-Line 4 includes full
software control of input sensitivity and analog gain. It is possible to install
one or two MM-Line 4 modules into the X-Frame 88. If not specified, the
MM-Line 4 is the default input module.
MM-Mic 4
The MM-Mic 4 input card includes four mic or line level inputs and installs
into slot 1 or slot 2 of the X-Frame 88 input section. The MM-Mic 4 features
studio grade microphone preamplifiers, complete with software controllable
phantom power and gain controls for each channel. It is possible to install
one or two MM-Mic 4 modules into the X-Frame 88.
MM-AEC4
The MM-AEC4 includes 4 microphone level inputs with Acoustic Echo
Cancellation and Noise Reduction circuitry built-in. The MM-AEC4 is per-
fect for teleconferencing applications or anytime you need high quality
Acoustics Echo Cancellation functionality. A custom set of software devices
is included for installation into the X-Ware software.
MM-NC4
The MM-NC4 includes 4 microhone level inputs with high quality, state of
the art noise cancellation circuitry built-in. The MM-NC4 is designed for
conferencing and critical paging applications where background noise is pre-
velant. A custom set of software devices is included for installation into the
X-Ware software.
With these new modules, the X-Frame 88 can be configured in a variety of
different ways.
By making the inputs modular, the X-Frame 88 provides even greater flexi-
bility and makes for much more cost-effective system design.
