Protection

against

paper

jams

and

overheating:

The

C227-B

is

equipped with

a

motor

overheat

guard.

To

protect

the

machine

well,

we

suggest

the

user

to

operate

it in

this

way:

work

30

minutes

then

20

minutes

off.

Under

the

following

conditions,

the

current

feed

to

the

unit's

motor

is

interrupted:

Continual

operation

of the

shredder

with

maximum

capacity

for

a

prolonged

period

of

time,

e.g.

longer

1.

than

30

minutes

without

interruption.

2.

Overrunning

the

shredding capacity

e.g.

adding

more

than

16

sheets

of

paper

(75g)

in

one

operation

or

in

the

event

the

p

aper

is

not

inserted

length-wise

into

the

feed

slot.

Under

the

above-mentioned

conditions,

the

automatic

overheat

guard

of

the

motor

is

triggered,

whereupon

the

current

feed

to

the

device

is

interrupted.

In

such

a

case,

please

take

the

following

steps

Disconnect

the

main

plug

from the

AC

socket

in

order

to

avoid

the

risk of

serious

injuries

and

wait

at

1.

least

20

minutes

until

the

overheat

guard

has

reset.

Now

tear

off

excess

paper

from

the

top

of

the

shredder

or

remove

it.

2.

shredding

Afterwards,

set

the

switch

back

to

the

AUTO

position.

If

necessary,

repeat

this

step.

3.

Reconnect

the

main

plug

to

the

AC

socket

and

set

the

switch

to

the

REV

position.

may

now

continue

the

normal

shredding

process.

Shredder

stops

Overloading:

If

you

overload

more

than

16

sheet

paper

in

one

time,

the

machine

will

be

reverse

automatically,

then

remove

any

excess

paper.

The

machine

will

then

be

reset

to

either

normal

or

standby

mode.

Bin

Full:

If

the

Bin

Full

indicator

turn

to

red, the

cutter

will

stop

immediately.

Should

this

happen,

then

please

pull

out

the

bin

and

dispose

the

paper

shreds,and

place bin

back

in.

The

machine

will

then

be

reset

to

either

normal

or

standby

mode.

Attention:

This

model includes

a

built-in

safety

interlock

mechanism which

is

located

on

the

front

of

the

shredder.

THE

SHREDDER

WILL NOT

OPERATE

WHEN

THE BIN

IS

PULLED

OUT!

envelopes

window,

insulated

or

glued
