About lenses with a supersonic motor
The lenses in the table below are equipped with internal supersonic motors. When mounted on a camera
body that supports supersonic motors, the autofocus (AF) is quiet and smooth.

Lens Precautions
DA17-70mm f/4 AL [IF] SDM
Lens uses a supersonic motor. When the lens is mounted on
a camera body that does not support supersonic motors
(including with firmware older than version 1.30),
the autofocus cannot be operated by either the AF motor in
the camera body or the supersonic motor.
