Take off the lens cap by pressing the two tabs inward.
" Memo:
• When not using the lens, be sure to attach the lens cap.
• Attach the dedicated lens cap over the lens hood on the DA 21mm f/3.2 AL Limited, DA 35mm f/2.8
Macro Limited, DA FISH-EYE 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5ED [IF], and DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited. Also, with
the DA 21mm f/3.2 AL Limited, DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited, DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited, it is possible to
mount the F49mm lens cap (option) by removing the lens hood.
