focus-lock
technique.

the autofocus
frame

When
you
wish
to
focus
on
the face, which
appears
very
small in the
viewfinder,
focus
on the
chest
instead
to
fill
the focus frame
with
more of the subject.

When
the shutter
release
button is
de-
pressed
halfway
down,
the
green
lamp
on
the
right-hand
side of the
viewfinder lights
up
and
the exposure
and
focus
are
tempo-
rarily
locked.
