If
the
subject
you
want
to
focus
on
is
off
the Auto
Focus Frame
in
the
center
of
the
viewfinder,
the
main
subject
will be
out
of
focus.
In
such
a
case
(especially
when
shooting
two
persons
as
illustrated,
for
example),
use
the
focus-lock
technique by
taking
the
following
steps:

1.
Bring
the
Auto Focus Frame
on
your
subject
and
partially depress
the
Shutter
Release
Button,
and
the
Distance
IndicatorNeedle
will
move
and
the
focus
will
be
locked
temporarily.
(Confirm
the
position
of the
Distance Indicator
Needle
in
the viewfinder.

2.
While
keeping
the
Shutter
Release
Button
partially
depressed,
move
the
camera
to
recompose
your
picture
with
the
subject
in
the
desired
position,
then
depress
the
Button
completely
to
take
the
picture.
