PARALLEL EFFECTS LOOP
The Parallel Eects loop is activated when the mini toggle on
the back is switched down. This activates the send and return
jacks on the back and converts the Clean Mix knob to a Par-
allel Mix Level knob! The send jack is on the bottom right of
the back (below the input jack) and any pedals you put in the
loop with receive the clean signal as it is before it goes into
the overdrive circuit of Channel 2. The Parallel Loop returns
through the bottom left jack (below the output jack) and it’s
level relative to the overdriven signal is controlled by the top,
center “clean mix knob”. The Output Level knob of channel
two then controls the overall volume of the overdrive and
whatever is mix in through the loop.
Because this loops bypasses the drive engine, it creates an
opportunity to feed pedals with a clean signal that would
normally get an overdriven signal down line and then add
the two together much like two channels adding together
through a recording console. Experiment with other drives,
boosts, reverbs and delays and modulations, anything really!
You may be surprised by how many of your pedals interact
dierently and it creates endless new ways of re-discovering
your gear and creating never-before heard tones!
Note: If all pedals in the loop are bypassed, the clean mix knob oper-
ates purely as a clean mix knob!!
Also Note: In the rare case a pedal reverses the polarity of the signal
it will mix back in out of phase. If you notice a thinning sound when
you engage a pedal, most likely it is ipping the phase of the signal.
Try adding another pedal and see if it comes back into phase. No
rules here, if you like the out of phase sound roll with it!!!
