Open the hinged top cover by swinging it backwards. Stitch chart may be inside.
Remove the swing-out arm by lifting it out. Open its lid for thread and accessories.
Tilt accessory box up to reveal an additional compartment underneath for storage.
Connect the foot control plug to the machine and outlet, then press the master switch.
Press the pedal to start sewing; speed increases with pedal depression.
Place spools on the spool holder with unreeling discs for proper threading.
Guide thread through slots, take-up lever, and guides to the needle.
Thread the needle from front to back.
Turn stop motion knob towards you to disengage mechanism for bobbin winding.
