For buttonhole sewing attach a buttenhole foot and set the gauge to the desired buttenhole
length. Turn dial A to 1.5, flick needle position iever B to the left, turn dial C to 0, pattern
length lever E to 0 and the stitch length control to 0.2. Use cotton thread as filler thread.
O Sew the first buttenhole seam by stitching over the fiiier thread. Leave the needie down in
the materiai at the right of the seam. Raise the buttenhole foot, turn the fabric and iower
(2) the foot again. Let the machine take one stitch to the ieft. Pull the filler thread tautand lay
it parallel to the first seam.
0 Depress finger-tip controi F, sew4 to 6 bartacking stitches, slightly gathering the fabric to
reduce the length of the bartack. Then release finger-tip control F.
0 Sew the second seam and stop 1 mm before the end.
§ Depress the finger-tip control. Sew the second tack, again gathering the fabric slightly. When
the bar covers both seam ends, push finger-tip control F upwards, and make 3 to 4 tying
stitches. Trim the threads and cut the buttenhole open between the seams.
Commencer par mettre en place le pied pour boutonni6res et par r^gler le guide correspondent
sur la longueur de boutonni^re souhaitee. R^gler ensuite le rdgle-zigzag Asur 1,5 mm,1elevier
de deport du point B vers la gauche le disque de r^glage des points automatiques E sur 0
et le r6gle-point sur 0,2 mm env. Comme fil de passe utillser un fil coton (coton perl6).
0 Coudre la premiere Ifevre en surpiquant le fil de passe. Arrfeter la piqOre raiguille se trouvant
k droite de la l^vre dans le tissu.
0 Soulever quelque peule pied pour boutonni^res, tourner ie travail de 180° et rabaisser le pied.
Ex6cuter un point vers la gauche. Tirer sur le fil de passe pour le faire entrer dans la
boutonnifere.
